NJ
Governor's Volunteer Awards:
If
you truly value your volunteers, take the
time to put that in writing. You may have
a church group that has been running your
prayer group for years, or a teenager who
comes every week and calls bingo. Some facilities
have volunteers who transport residents
from one floor to another. Every area that
a volunteer donates his or her time is important.
Nominating a volunteer is great PR for your
community and your facility. You can place
the nomination in your local paper as a
press release and later, should your volunteer
win, place that in the paper too! It speaks
volumes about the way you think of your
volunteers and the value you place on your
volunteer program. Contact your Governors
Office to find out more information about
Volunteer Awards for your state.
This
award is for any individual or volunteer
organization actively involved in volunteer
activities that benefit the community of
NJ. Volunteer can be any age, religion,
etc. Students who volunteer to receive course
credits are eligible. Contact for a nomination

In partnership with the National Association
of Secondary School Principals, Prudential sponsors a national awards
program in the United States to recognize young people in grades 5 - 12 for
outstanding community service. Applications are solicited through more than
40,000 public and private middle-level and high schools in the U.S., and
through Girl Scout councils and county 4-H organizations. Local Honorees
are selected at each participating organization, and from these winners,
two top individuals are chosen in each state, the District of Columbia and
Puerto Rico. Download
