The Storm

My thoughts are clouded As though a storm is underway I m searching for shelter A safe place to stay I keep searching and searching Yet the fear takes control It s stealing my happiness And clouding my soul I yearn for the sunlight To again kiss my face To feel warmth and peace I need GODs given grace I know I am worthy Yet the fear over rides How do I let go GOD please be my guide Please lead me dear Lord And show me the way Take the clouds from my heart Make the storm go away

A Story of Peace
By Harold A. Siegel

Picture this___if you can,
A friendly dog__a longely man,
A winding stream___ a quiet place,
A wagging tail___a kindly face.
Roasting quail on a blazing fire___
What else could a man desire?
A settling sun___a bright red sky,
A tired man___and evening high.

His bed is a blanket; his home is the ground
and to put him to sleppe there is plenty of sound__
The call of the bird; the chirp of the cricket,
They reach his ears from the midst of a thicket.
The croak of a frog; a splash and a swish
Remind him that this might be a fine place to fish.
A dog at his side; its head on his chest,
They''ve had a hard day; it's time for a rest.

...The moon is now fading__stars going away
His dog gives a bark__ it's a new day!!
The two get up__and make ready in haste,
There's plenty to do__not a moment to waste.
And before the sun can rise in all its full glory
Two figures begin another chapter__in their life story.
Now off in the distance, being swallowed by fog
Two figures are fading...a man...and his dog.

SHEBA

Her name was sheba, not queen of the nile,

She was the runt of the liter, but to our family she made us smile,

Her dad was husky all big and tough, Sheba was small and we couldn't love her enough,

We swore we would care for her my sister and brothers and I,

But my father knew it was all a lie,

Sheba loved him most and when we all left the house as we grew, the bond they shared couldn't be refused,

After 14 years as her age crept up, we thought for sure she soon would leave us, but age did not take her or illness or health, She was hit by a car and left for dead,

To this day I miss her so and I know my father does too, so Sheba whereever you are we love you and miss you!
