Ask The Consultant: Sandra Stimson has over a decade of experience as a Corporate Activity Consultant, Assistant Administrator, National Speaker, Activity Director and Dementia Unit Manager. Sandra is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator, Certified Activity Director, Certified Dementia Practitioner. She is the Executive Director for Alternative Solutions in Long Term Care and National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. 

This service is recommended for Administrators or Activity Professionals who have questions or concerns regarding the management of the Activity or Therapeutic Recreation department in Assisted Living, Long Term Care (SNF or Nursing Homes) Adult Day Care and CCRC and do not want to hire a consultant until they have determined if one is required.

The Consultant can assist with concerns or recommendations for planning and implementing large group and small group programming, state and federal regulations.

The consultant can assist with calendar audit and analysis, population analysis, care plan concerns, MDS questions, plan of corrections, quality assurance, survey readiness, one to one programs, dementia programming, low functioning programming, short term and rehab programs, high functioning programs and management concerns.

For large corporations, the consultant can also provide a monthly conference call with your Activity Directors to assist with planning innovative programs and provide ideas and resources to ensure a competitive and diverse calendar that includes large events, speakers, wellness programs, self esteem programs, etc.
